Background
In modern IT systems, manually entering data to onboard or set up a customer is a common and often necessary task. As businesses scale, this process becomes increasingly time-consuming and error-prone. AI-powered automation offers a solution by transforming and integrating data from various sources into pre-defined structures, significantly reducing errors and enhancing operational efficiency. However, the challenge lies in the substantial differences between data sources. This thesis explores innovative machine learning techniques to automate these tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in customer onboarding processes.

What are we hoping to achieve?
Automation of mapping complex documents into a pre-defined data structure to reduce errors and effort in common mapping tasks.

How?
To solve this problem, a system that leverages a combination of machine learning models, cloud-based services and existing document parsing tools needs to be developed. The novelty lies in being able to solve the problem for a wide range of different document types and structures to allow for seamless transformation and integration.
