About the Role
As an Application Specialist (Integration – Carrier Focus), you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing integrations between Centiro’s platform, customer systems, and large-scale parcel carrier ecosystems.
You will analyze carrier specifications, message standards, and operational constraints, then design and implement robust integrations using APIs, EDI, and file-based interfaces. These integrations typically support high transaction volumes, strict validation rules, and standardized carrier processes where reliability and accuracy are critical.
This role suits someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, carrier operations, and customer collaboration, and who is comfortable operating in structured, enterprise-grade integration landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain parcel carrier integrations with a strong focus on scalability, stability, and compliance
Work with carrier APIs, EDI messages, and file integrations to support use cases such as:
Shipment creation and rating
Label generation and printing
Tracking and event visibility
Manifesting and end-of-day processing
Analyze carrier technical specifications, message schemas, and certification requirements and translate them into integration designs
Manage the full integration lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support
Troubleshoot complex integration issues across customer systems, carrier interfaces, and Centiro components
Collaborate closely with customers, carrier counterparts, and internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing operations
Act as a subject-matter expert for carrier-driven integration patterns and best practices
Requirements
5+ years of experience working with system integrations in logistics, transportation, or supply chain domains
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise parcel carrier integrations, ideally in high-volume environments
Solid understanding of carrier operational processes, including shipment lifecycles, labeling, tracking events, and compliance rules
Proven ability to analyze business and carrier requirements and translate them into robust, well-structured integration solutions
Experience owning integrations throughout their lifecycle, including post go-live support and incident handling
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, carrier partners, and internal technical teams
A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong troubleshooting and prioritization skills
Strong technical skills in:
MS SQL and SQL Server Management Studio
REST and SOAP web services
SFTP and file-based integrations
Tools such as SOAPUI, ReadyAPI, and Postman
Experience working with data and message formats such as XML, CSV, JSON, IFTMIN, and other structured carrier messages
Familiarity with support and ticketing tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, or BMC Remedy
Understanding of end to end carrier logistics network flow and business ops including understanding of carrier partner programs
Understanding of functional processes at carrier catering to shipments fulfilment right from validation of labels to EDIs and other routing setups
Able to navigate functional complexity by understanding business of different goods shipment flows , example dangerous goods
Considered a Strong Plus
Experience working with large, standardized parcel carrier platforms and structured certification/onboarding processes
Exposure to customs data, shipment validation rules, tariffs, or billing-related integrations
Knowledge of carrier versioning strategies, backward compatibility, and API governance
Experience in environments with strict operational SLAs and compliance requirements
Exposure to monitoring and analytics tools such as Power BI, Graylog, or Grafana
Familiarity with release management and configuration management in enterprise-scale solutions
